The Heirs...Korean Drama

Saya suka! saya suka! saya suka!...

Dah lama tak update cerita korea nie.  Bukan sebab dah lama tak tengok tapi tak berkesempatan nak update mengenai cerita2 nie.

Dah lama tunggu cerita dari 'my favourite heroin' nie Park Shin-Hye.  Lepas cerita Flower Boy Next Door yang best tue muncul plak cerita yang ini The Heirs.  Kali ni dia bergandingan dengan hero cute lagi glamer yg diberi gelaran by myself 'the hottest hoodie' Lee Min-Ho....hahaha.

Cerita biasa, percintaan antara anak orang kaya dan anak orang kebanyakan, perebutan kerusi chairman syarikat2 besar giler nie, pergolakan dalaman family orang2 kaya, rivalries between friends di sekolah (dah macam cerita BOF plak dah)...what a very typical korean drama.  Tapi still suka tengok gak...hahaha.  Like I mention earlier the main reason tak sabar nak tengok drama nie sebab sangat2 suka dan minat dengan heroinnya dan rasa macam seronok plak tengok gandingan terbaru Park Shin-Hye dengan Lee Min-Ho...what a good chemistry!  Pelakun2 yang lain pun not bad.  Semua dah de nama and popular.

Rasanya dekat channel OneHD belum keluar lagi cerita nie but coming soon.  Dekat korea dah keluar dah episod 4 kalau tak silapla.  Tak sabar nak tunggu ending walaupun dah boleh agak rasanya ending mcmana.  Ok have to wait dengan penuh kesabaran sehingga pisode 20 sebab nak tengok betul tak endingnya seperti yang ku fikir2 kan selama nie....hehehe

Queen In-Hyun's Man

Ok hari nie nak cakap pasal k-drama lagi. Baru je abis tgk cerita Queen In-Hyun's Man. Actually past 3 weeks dah tgk 3 jenis k-drama...nak biol kepala otak pun dh de. Kalau concentrate sgt tgk cerita korea nie mau kut fasih ckp korea lepas ni...hehehe. Cerita ni dibintangi oleh Ji Hyun-woo as Kim Boong-do, Yoo In-na as Choi Hee-jin, Kim Jin-woo as Han Dong Min dan Ga Deuk-Hi as Jo Soo-Gyung. Cerita nie mmg sangat sweet dan menarik. Chemistry both actor/actress nie mmg ada uuummmppphhh. Dan kedua-duanya tengah couple skrg nie in real life after acting in this drama....iloike!

Plot cerita nie ialah fantasi/romance/action/historical/time travel drama. Mengisahkan tentang Kim Boong Do seorang ahli sastera or bijak pandai dari zaman Joseon Dynasty, lbh kurang 300 tahun yang lalu. Tapi KBD nie bleh travel through time ke zaman sekarang di Seoul, South Korea.

Ending is so damn beautiful with the hot and deep kiss...ahakss! for me it's a perfect ending. Happy sgt sebab diaorang bersama jugak akhirnya walaupun KBD mulanya hampir bunuh diri disbbkan almost give up sebab tak dapat kembali ke masa sekarang utk bersama dengan CHJ.

One Litre Of Tears

My BFF - Imah, introduce me to this japanese drama. This drama is inspiring and beautiful. It's full of emotions and I cried during every episode. The cast for this drama are Sawajiri Erika, Yakushimaru Hiroko and Nishikido Ryo. It is based on the true story of a girl named Kito Aya, who had suffer a disease called "Spinocerebellar Degenaration" when she was 15 years old.  She kept writing in her diary to remember her experiences until she could no longer writing. She simply wished to live until the end of her life, and the purpose of writing in the diary was to remind herself not to give up. She uses her energy to the fullest until it's gone. Her diary "1 Litre of Tears" was published after her death at the of 25 years old. There are 2 version for this story; a movie and a drama. But in the movie it's more straight forward and the scripts follow exactly like in her diary.

If you want to read Aya's diary you can click at this link http://diaryofaya.blogspot.com/. Thanks to this blogger for his/her effort translate Aya's diary.

Some of Aya's quotes that I like....

I really don't want to say things such as 'I want to go back as how things were before'. I recognize how I am right now and I will continue to live on - Aya

You've always encouraged me. You've listened to everything I couldn't tell anyone else. When I was down, you made me laugh. You were always near me. Whenever I was in pain, you were always with me. Arigatou Asou-kun - Aya

Suffer and suffer through, and there's a rainbow coloured happiness waiting on the other side. Do not rush it; do not be greedy. Don't give up, because everybody takes a step at a time.  It didn't matter how insignificant, but I wanted to be useful to others - Aya

As I think about the past, the tears will come out. Reality is too cruel, too brutal. I don't even have the right to dream. As I think about the future, the tears will come out again. - Aya

It's a painful when I'm with you, wanting to do this and that. When I'm with you, I keep dreaming a dream that would never come true - Aya

Without hurrying, let's challenge many things, or be absorbed in doing something. Doing silly things together won't be such a bad idea, I think, because we all still have plenty of time from now - Aya

I want to accept the me right now. And live on. Although I will always be hurt by those heartless glances, but also at the same time I understand that gentle glances exist. Even though it's like this I still want to be here. Because here is, the place that I exist. What's wrong with falling down? Because as long as I stand back up again it'll be just fine. If you look up at the sky after falling down. The blue sky is also today, stretching timelessly and smiles at me. People shouldn't dwell on the past. It's enough to try your best for all that your doing now. Mother, will I be able to get married? - Aya

This isn't something special. It's just the record of a girl who was chosen by this strange disease - Aya

My life is like a flower that's hasn't bloomed yet. From the start of the youth, I want to treasure it and have no regrets - Aya

This disease, why did it choose me? Fate. It can't be put into words. - Aya

I want to make a time machine and go back in time. If it wasn't for this disease, not only I could enjoy falling in love but I also wouldn't have to rely on anyone and live by myself. - Aya

I don't want a comfortable place to stay in.  From now on, I am thinking about how I am going to contimue living. - Aya

I had a dream and in it I was running freely and I was walking. But I had another dream and in it I was in wheelchair. I thought I had accepted me for who I am now - Aya

As long as it's you saying it, no matter how slowly you say it, I'll still listen.
If you can't talk on the phone, then I'll come see you
If you want to walk, no matter how slow it will be, I'll walk with you - haruto

Is that something you can't understand unless you experience it? Even if you can't feel what that person is feeling, I want you to at least try to think in my point of view. But I think that's hard to do. Even for me, I only first realized this after it happened to me - Aya

I look up to people with strong personality traits, because I myself have nothing special. I'm attracted to the idea of each individuals putting out their own unique characteristics. Maybe even in the world that we live in, our uniqueness and talents are used to make the most out of life - Aya

There is only one road for me. I don't have the right to pick my options. I can never go onto the same path as my friends - Aya

Time will continue to move even if I break all the clocks in the world - Aya

I suppose everyone has some kind of burden. But why is it only me that has to be miserable? - Aya

It's very hard to live throught each day without any purpose

My Girls

I'm not really into this drama but my late husband bought it for me so I have no reason not to watch it rite??.  It's a romantic comedy drama between 2 unusually attractive characters: a young rich and arrogant man and a young woman whom no one can despise despite all her lies.

Cruel Love

I like this K-drama because of the hero Kwon Sang Woo, (Stairway To Heaven).  I'm not a big fan of him but I love his acting, his smiles bla bla bla...hehehe.  Actually it's not really a good drama maybe I will give 70% only.  But I still enjoy watching it.  This drama has a lot of suffering and sadness.  It has a good ending but I don't know why most of K-drama must have people die in it.  The good news is the hero and heroin lived happily ever after at the end.

Sypnosis from Korean-Drama-Guide;

Na In Jung (Lee Yo Won) struggles with her love between the rather cold and rebellious Yong Ki and a successful businessman, Soo Hwan (Kim Sung Su).  Kang Yong Ki is a pop culture artist.  He was separated from his first love, Jo Ann (Cha Ye Ryeon) and still carries the wound that he suffered from their relationship.  His half sister is Joo Ran who is married to Soo Hwan.  Soo Hwan begins an affair with In Jung but he only has amibition for the CEO position of Yong Ki's father's company.  Soon after he discovers that his amibition does not fill the emptiness that he has inside and realizes he needs In Jung.  But In Jung and Yong Ki have already fallen in love with each other.  Will In Jung go back to her first love or stay with Yong Ki

They say there is nothing else you could wish for as long as you are in love.  But people tend to expect quite a lot from those they love.  They say pride does not matter when you are in love, but many lovers break up because their self esteem is hurt.  They say love alone will do when you are in love, but we eventually keep turning our eyes to the demands of reality.  They say love has no reasons, but people always love for a reason.  Maybe that's why GOD bestowed love to humans as the biggest punishment for their greed.  A bad and wicked love....

Heartstring

I just bought this k-drama yesterday...Heartstring a.k.a. You've Fallen For Me.  Almost a year jugakla mencari dvd cerita ni and finally its in my hand now...huhuhu.  Hero n heroin nyer masih muda and of course la sbb cerita nie based on collage student, suka duka kehidupan remaja.  Actually what i like about this k-drama is because of the songs.  Almost semua lagu dlm nie best2.  So i'm going to enjoy myself watching this drama with my kids ;)

Sypnosis from wikipedia;

Lee Shin (Jung Yong Hwa) is a university student majoring in Western Music.  He is also the vocalist and guitarist of the band "The Stupid".  Shin is known for his good looks, cocky personality and strong passion for music.  Everyone sees him as a cold-hearted and distant, but he has a soft side inside him hidden away.  He lacks interest in anything unrelated to music and has neither dreams nor plans for the future.  He initially likes Jung Yoon Soo, a dance professor at the university, but this all changes when he meets Lee Gyu Won (Park Shin Hye).

Lee Gyu Won is a jolly, bright and outgoing student who was born into a prestigious family and his majoring in Traditional Korean Music.  Her instrument is the gayageum.  Gyu Won's grandfather, Lee Dong Gun, is one of the top 3 traditional musicians of his age and his biggest wish is to see his grand-daughter become a traditional music prodigy.  Trying to live up to her grandfather's expectations, Gyu Won immerses herself in practice and becomes a university student who knows nothing much outside of her studies.  As her friends are fans of 'The Stupid", she was forced to go to the band's concert with them.  There she saw Lee Shin perfoming live, and is immediately captivated by him.

The time when Lee Gyu Won decided to join the performance for the festival, every one sees her potential talent and this triggers Han Hee Joo's mother who plans together with Tae Joon, one of the school's administrators, to destroy Lee Gyu Won's and the Director's image for her to quit the upcoming festival in her feat that Lee Gyu Won might outshine her daughter Han Hee Joo.

Autumn In My Heart

My late husband likes this K-drama, maybe because of the heroin (Song Hye Kyo).  He said that she's so cute and pretty...really?? Well that his opion and I kinda agreed with him.  This one also a very sad and tragic love story and here's the sypnosis from wikipedia.

The story begins with toddler, Yoon Joon Suh accidentally causing the switch of his sister and another baby when he drops the name cards on the two babies cribs in the hospital baby room.  A nurse who comes in puts them back incorrectly.  The story then jumps forward to the teenage years of the 2 main characters.  Yoon Joon Suh (Choi Woo Hyuk) and Yoon Eun Suh (Moon Geun Young).  They are the children of a rich professor and believe they are biological brother and sister until Eun Suh gets hit by a truck and needs a blood transfusion.  At the beginning, Eun Suh is very popular in school whereas her rival Choi Shin Ae (Lee Ae Jung), is smart but does not get the attention she craves from the teacher and their classmates.  Later, their situations are reversed when the switch is discovered.

After blood tests are carried out by the doctor on Mr. and Mrs. Yoon for Eun Suh's transfusion, the Yoons find out that Eun Suh belongs to Mrs. Choi and Shin Ae is the Yoon's biological daughter.  At first, only the parents and brother know about this, but eventually, Shin Ae discovers the truth after she gets into a fierce argument with her non biological mother over a teddy bear she received from her biological father.  Eun Suh only discovers the truth after Shin Ae wants her biological parents to take her in.  In the end, the 2 daughters return to their original birth parents.  Shin Ae moves in with the Yoon family and Eun Suh goes to live with Mrs. Choi (her biological father is dead) who operates a small restaurant living in abject poverty.

The Yoon family moves to the United States and Eun Suh losses touch with them.  Joon Suh (Song Seung Heon) returns to South Korea as a successful artist.  He goes back to the town he lived in, where he encounters his old friend, Han Tae Seok (Won Bin), who stays at the hotel where Eun Suh (Song Hye Kyo) works as a telephone receptionist.  Tae Seok falls in love with Eun Suh and manipulates her until she is fired from her job.  One day Eun Suh sees Joon Suh and follows him to the beach where he is with Yumi (his fiancee) and Tae Seok, and the 2 siblings finally meet again after 10yrs.

Eun Suh and Joon Suh pretend to have a sibling relationship in front of the others but they meet each other secretly and fall deeply in love, though she always refers to him as older brother.  Shin Ae (Han Chae Young) finds out about their relationship and exposes the two after she finds a love letter Eun Suh wrote to Joon Suh.  The two decide to stay together, but soon are forced apart again because their parents are against the union, and Yumi hurts herself and blackmails Joon Suh with suicide to hold on to him.

As a fight between Joon Suh and Tae Seok erupts over their love for Eun Suh, she discovers she has leukemia.  She doesn't tell anyone except Tae Seok, who offers to pay for her treatment.  When her health deteriorates, the other begins finding out the extent of her condition.  Eun Suh soon falls into a coma.  Joon Suh finds out about Eun Suh's health and reacts with shock and fear.  Tae Seok forces Joon Suh to try to wake up Eun Suh.  Luckily, she does wake up but is too weak to follow the treatment.  When it is clear that there is no hope, Joon Suh takes her home so she can spend her last days with him.  At this point, Yumi finally lets go of Joon Suh.  Joon Suh proposes to Eun Suh and they get married.  Eun Suh dies as Joon Suh carries her around the beach where they spent her birthday as teenagers.

Before Eun Suh dies, she tells Joon Suh to move on and continue living.  However, Joon Suh dazed and grief-stricken by the death of his love and sister, is struck by a truck in the same place as Eun Suh's accident and perishes.

Stairway To Heaven

Another K-drama that makes me cry.  It's a very sad ending, a sad story but cute n adorable.  Not really a happy ending story but that's a real life.  For me there is no "happily ever after" but there is "living together happily until death do us part"...like me uh??

Sypnosis from wikipedia

Han Jung Suh (Park Shin Hye) and Cha Song Joo (Baek Sung Hyun) are childhood friends and have a special bond that blossoms into love.  They both share the pain of losing a loved one.  Song Joo's father died in a traffic accident dan Jung Suh's mother died of eye cancer.  Jung Suh's father (Ha Jae Young) marries an actress named Tae Mira (Lee Hui Hyang), who brings her real daughter, Han Yoori (Park Ji Mi) and son, Han Tae Hwa (Lee Wan).  Yoori is jealous of Jung Suh and would make her look terrible in front of her mother who begins to turn on Jung Suh.  When Jung Suh's father left for work, her stepmother assaulted her.  She thwarted Jung Suh's attempts to study abroad with Song Joo, who then left to America to study abroad alone.  Her stepmother plotted for Yoori to win the affections of Song Joo.  All the while, Jung Suh tried to be nice to Tae Hwa, but he mistook this friendship for affection and falls in love with her.

3yrs later, Song Joo (Kwon Sang Woo) comes back from America, and Jung Suh (Choi Ji Woo) rushes to greet him.  A jealous Yoori (Kim Tae Hee) tries to stop them from reuniting.  As they race to the airport, Yoori intentionally hits Jung Suh with her car.  Jung Suh is taken to the hospital where a group of people had just died in fire.  Yoori swaps Jung Suh's ID with one of the people to fake her death.  She takes the real Jung Suh to her biological father's home.  Tae Hwa (Shin Hyun Joon), still in love with Jung Suh, finds out what Yoori has done, but seizes the opportunity to run away with Jung Suh.  Jung Suh loses her memory, and Tae Hwa moves them away and changes their names.

5yrs later, Yoori is soon to be engaged to Song Joo.  Song Joo decides that he needs to let go of Jung Suh and goes to the carousel they used to ride as children.  He wishes to see Jung Suh just once more, looks up and sees her on the carousel.  Jung Suh, now named Kim Ji Soo, works at a small clothing shop while living with Tae Hwa (now Chul Soo).  Song Joo rushes to Ji Soo and tells her that she is Jung Suh, but she doesn't believe him.  Song Joo is determined to make her remember her past and through a series of events, he and Jung Suh become close.

Jung Suh regains her memory when Yoori nearly hits her with her car again and rushes to tell Song Joo.  She forgives Tae Hwa as she knew he did it out of love.  Jung Suh and Song Joo are happy together, until she discovers she has eye cancer.  She asks Tae Hwa to take her away from Song Joo since she can't bear to see him in pain.  Gradually, Jung Suh's vision deteriorates into blindness.  Tae Hwa tells Song Joo and his family the truth starting from the accident.  Yoori is arrested and her mother becomes crazy, going to a mental hospital.

Song Joo marries Jung Suh, who is now blind, with the blessing of his mother and her father.  Jung Suh tells Tae Hwa that her one wish is to see Song Joo's face one last time.  Both Son Joo and Tae Hwa asks a doctor to let them give Jung Suh one of their corneas, but the doctor tells them that they can't take corneas from live donors.  Tae Hwa wants to grant her wish at all costs and commits suicide by creating a car accident in order to donate his cornea to her.  After his death, Jung Suh had the operaton and is able to see again.  However, Song Joo finds out about Tae Hwa's death and later on tells Jung Suh.  She starts to feel sick again, and the doctor states that the tumor has spread to her brain and she has no chance of living.  Jung Suh, realizing this forgives Tae Mira and Yoori because of Tae Hwa.  Both Yoori and Tae Mira feel remorse and are apologetic.  Jung Suh dies a few days later from the same incurable illness as her mother at the seaside near her childhood house in the arms of Song Joo.  The ending scene reverts back to the beginning scene where Song Joo plays his piano by the ocean of the memorable beach house.  He says, "Perhaps, that person (Tae Hwa) might have loved that girl (Jung Suh) more than me.  But even though I say this, that doesn't mean that I loved her any less."

Winter Sonata

Winter Sonata adalah cerita korean drama yang pertama saya beli dan until today its still my fave all time drama. Really loves this story esp the hero n heroinnya yang memang sesuai Bae Yong Joon and Choi Ji-woo. Jalan cerita yg menarik walaupun agak meleret (tapi takpe sbb heronya hencem so tak jemu mata memandang) menambahkan lagi keseronokan drama ni.  Let's read the sypnosis...

Yujin and Sang Hyuk are childhood friends.  Yujin is lively, spontaneous, warm n friendly.  She loves to sleep on the bus and is always late for school.  Sang Hyuk is the model student and the class monitor.  Together with Oh Chelin, Kong Jinsuk n Kwon Yongkuk, they form the broadcast team in school.

The lives of this group of friends are disrupted and changed forever with the arrival of a new student, Kang Joon Sang, who has transferred from Seoul. Joon Sang is cool, aloof n a loner.  But he is good looking n extremely smart.  Chelin, being the most confident and go-getter of the bunch, declares that shes got Joon Sang zeroed in and no one is to compete with her for him.  However, Joon Sang does not reciprocate Chelins advances.

Joon Sang has his reason for transferring to Namiseom Island.  He is the illegitimate son of a famous pianist mother, and he wants to seek out his biological father.  Joon Sang believes that his father is in Namiseom Island, where his mother attended high school, and he has a reasons to believe that his father is his mothers high school sweetheart.  And because of an old burnt picture, Joon Sang thought that his father is Sang Hyuks father.  He makes life difficult for Sang Hyuk in school, constantly provoking him and perhaps trying to get close to Yujin to spike Sang Hyuk.

However, through the process, he finds himself falling for Yujin.  Her lively n warm personality ignites a change in the cool Jong Sang.  He starts to smile and open himself up to her.  Together, the two spend unforgettable moments e.g. playing truant, detention, piano recitals, getting lost in the mountain, playing with snow n making snowman, etc, that will seal each other as the others first love.

But though a chanced encounter, Joon Sang finds out that Yujins father was also a close friend of his mother during high school, and suspects that they may be related.  Joon Sang then agrees to his mothers arrangement to study in the US.  As he is heading to the airport, he remembers his promise to Yujin to return her gloves.  Ignoring his mothers protest, he gets off the car for his rendezvous with Yujin, but meets an accident on his way there.  Everyone in school is told that Joon Sang died in the car accident.  The group is shocked with the news.  Having been stood up the night before, Yujing is dumbfounded and overwhelmed with sorrow.

10 years later, Yujin and Sang Hyuk are planning their engagement party.  But on the day of the engagement ceremony, while making her way to the hotel, Yujing meets a man (Lee Min Hyung) who looks just like Joon Sang.  She spends the entire evening searching for him, wondering aimlessly on the streets and ends up missing her engagement party alttogether.

As the model nice guy, Sang Hyuk forgives Yujin.  To make up for the unsuccessful engagement party, Jin Suk n Yon Kuk help Sang Hyuk and Yujin to organise a private engagement party.  But at the party, Chelin shows up with her boyfriend, Lee Min Hyung, who looks exactly like Joon Sang.  Everyone at the party is shaken by the meeting. But as destiny has lay out the path for the 2 leads.  Yujin meets Min Hyung face to face for the first time because of work.  As an interior designer, Yujins company undertakes the project to redevelop the ski resort which Min Hyungs company owns.  At their first meeting, Yujin is shocked to Min Hyung, and leaves in tears before she can present her companys proposal.  Min Hyung is obviously surprised by her unusual reaction, and is immediately attracted to Yujin.  Through interactions at work and resolved misunderstanding (thanks to Chelin), Min Hyung finds himself uncontrollably attracted to Yujin.  Yujin is torn as well.  Min Hyung is a constant reminder of her lost first love; but she cannot leave Sang Hyuk after all these years together.  Sang Hyuk is also tortured with suspicion as he feels Yujing slipping away from his fingers.

Against all odds, Yujin breaks up with Sang Hyuk and gets together with Min Hyung.  The union is short lived as Sang Hyuk goes into depression and almost kills himself.  Overcome by guilt, Yujin and Min Hyung part. althought they know that they've fallen hopelessly for each other.  As they struggle to rebuild their lives, Min Hyung accidentally finds out that he is actually Kang Joon Sang, and that he had amnesia after the car accident.  His mother, out of desperation to reconcile with her son, with the help of her psychiatrist friend, gave Joon Sang a new identity, in the form of the much happier Min Hyung.  The plot thickens.

With a car accident, Yujin confirms Joon Sangs identity, and affirms her affection for Joon Sang.  Sang Hyuk throws in the white towel when he realises that Min Hyung is Joon Sang, the love rival that he can never beat.  After discovering his new identity, Joon Sang is once again wrapped up in the quest to find out who his father is.  With Joon Sangs mother opposing their marriage, it leads Joon Sang to believe that Yujin is actually his half-sister and he is a product of Joon Sangs mothers brief engagement to Yujins father.

Yujin and Joon Sang part for the 2nd time, both in utter disbelief and devastation with the realisation that they can never be together.  But the story takes a twist, and it is eventually revealed that Joon Sang is not Yujins half-brother and that Sang Hyuks father is Joon Sangs biological father.  However, before Joon Sang can reunite with Yujin with the good news, he finds out that he has a life threatening blood clot in his head as a result of his car accident.  And in effort to win Yujin back, Sang Hyuk begs Joon Sang to give him his life back.

Joon Sang does something against what he has always believed, by helping his half brother and asks Yujin to accept Sang Hyuk.  Yujin refuses and parts with Joon Sang.  Joon Sang eventually leaves for the US to seek treatment, and Yujin escapes to France even after learning the truth from Sang Hyuk about Joon Sangs relationship with her and his health condition.

3 year later, Yujin returns to Korea after completing her studies in France.  She meets up with her friends and spends time catching up.  She returns to work at the Polaris and discovers a villa built in the same design as a house model which she gave Joon Sang 3 years ago.  Coincidentally, Joon Sang is also visiting in Korea.  But he is blind from the surgery.  Destiny finally puts the 2 star-crossed leads in the house of love that Joon Sang built for Yujin.  They embrace in the sunset and seal their meeting with a gentle kiss.
